My Grandma’s Soothing Cough Remedy: Warm Garlic Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1 glass of warm milk
  • 2 cloves of garlic, grated
  • Butter or ghee (clarified butter)

Instructions:

  1. Warm a glass of milk until it’s comfortably warm to drink.
  2. Grate two cloves of garlic finely.
  3. Add the grated garlic into the warm milk.
  4. If you can, you can also add a small amount of butter or ghee, it is helpful
  5. Mix well until the garlic is well incorporated.
  6. Sip this warm garlic milk slowly.

How to Use:

  • Drink this mixture before bedtime or when you’re experiencing coughing, voice loss, or a sore throat.
  • Take it slowly and ensure it’s warm but not too hot.

This remedy might not be the tastiest, but I and my family find it effective in providing relief from coughing, soothing a sore throat, and easing voice loss.
