• How to manage PMS

    Posted by bella on 6. 7. 2024 at 21:57

I’ve been having a really tough time with PMS symptoms lately. For those who might be unfamiliar it is pre-menstrual syndrome. The mood swings, cramps, and bloating are making it hard to get through the day. I’ve heard that birth control can help, but I’d prefer to manage these symptoms without using hormonal contraceptives for personal reasons.

    More concrete symptoms include:

    Higher irritability than usual

Feeling of insecurity, lack of confidence

Painful and very tender breasts and bloated stomach

    Fatigue and tiredness

    Loss of libido

Does anyone have tips or natural remedies that have worked for them to alleviate PMS symptoms? Any advice on lifestyle changes, diet, or supplements would be greatly appreciated!

I’m curious, have you considered why not try birth control? I understand wanting to manage things naturally, but sometimes BC can really help balance hormones and reduce symptoms. That being said, i

I prefer not to use birth control because of some past experiences with side effects and a desire to keep things as natural as possible. I appreciate the suggestion, though. Also I have been readin

I have had to deal with pretty severe PMS symptoms too, and I found that keeping a consistent sleep schedule and reducing caffeine and especially sugar intake during my cycle helps a lot. Also, practi

One thing that made a very big difference for me is essential oils. I put lavender or peppermint oil on my abdomen during cramps and it really helps the pain. Also, I have found that chamomile tea

Essential oils for cramps is something I thought about. I am not sure it will help, but I can always try it.

I’ve had similar issues, and one thing that’s really helped me is incorporating more magnesium and calcium into my diet. I take supplements, but you can also find these in foods like leafy gree

Thanks for the suggestions, I haven’t tried magnesium or calcium supplements, but I’ll look into them. I’ve been meaning to exercise more regularly, unfortunately my work is all day in office
