Weight training split options
Posted by will on 11. 5. 2024 at 22:01Hey guys, I’ve been thinking about switching up my training split for weightlifting. Any suggestions on what might work best? I know there is much about this on the internet, but I wanted to hear some experience from here.

You’ll have separate days for pushing exercises (like chest, shoulders, and triceps), pulling exercises (like back and biceps), and leg exercises. This frequency can lead to better muscle protein synthesis and potentially more gains. On the other hand, an upper-lower split focuses on dividing your workouts into upper body and lower body days. This split still allows for a higher frequency of training each muscle group compared to a bro split, but it might be more manageable if you prefer shorter, more intense workouts.-

It can also be that you are already over your newbie gains and in that case it can be suddenly harder to put more muscle. It slows down the whole process. But it is still possible, you ust have to be more patient.

12. 5. 2024 at 17:49That makes sense. I like the idea of hitting each muscle group more often. I think I will give the push-pull-legs split a try for a few weeks and see how it goes.

Maybe you already know all of that, but its alway good to remind that.

12. 5. 2024 at 14:05I hear you. Bro splits can be effective for some, but they might not optimize muscle growth for everyone. Have you considered trying a different split, like push-pull-legs or an upper-lower split?

12. 5. 2024 at 13:23I have been doing a typical bro split, you know, hitting each muscle group once a week. But I feel like I’m not seeing the gains I want.
